How to get a Visa card in Ghana
No bank account needed. Fund your card with Mobile Money and pay online anywhere.
Why a virtual card?
Many websites — Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, app stores, online courses — only accept card payments, and most Ghanaian bank cards are declined on international sites. A virtual USD card solves this: it works anywhere Visa or Mastercard is accepted online, and you fund it straight from your MoMo wallet.
Get your card in 4 steps
1. Sign up with your phone number or email
Create a free MavSol Pay account in under a minute. All you need is an email address — no bank account required.
2. Verify your Ghana Card
Before your first card, verify your identity with your Ghana Card and a selfie. Verification is automatic and usually finishes within about two minutes. It's a one-time step that keeps your money safe.
3. Pay the GH₵ 50 card fee with MoMo
Pay the one-time card creation fee with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AirtelTigo Money — you'll get a prompt on your phone to approve. You can also pay from your MavSol wallet balance.
4. Top up your card and pay online
Your card starts at $0. Top it up with any amount from the minimum shown in the app, converted to US dollars at the current rate. Then use the card details on any website that accepts card payments.
What it costs
Creating a card costs a one-time GH₵ 50 fee — there are no monthly charges. A 1.08% transaction fee applies to top-ups. The minimum top-up is shown in the app before you pay (default GH₵ 50), and there's no fixed maximum beyond your MoMo network's own limits.
